Revolutionizing Home Energy Systems with DeltaClimeVT

We're honored to be recognized as a standout participant in the 2024 DeltaClimeVT cohort. Selected through a rigorous peer-review process, we have secured a pilot project with Burlington Electric Department (BED), demonstrating our potential to reshape how households manage energy.

The DeltaClimeVT Energy 2024 climate economy business accelerator recently concluded with an awards ceremony celebrating innovative solutions for reducing greenhouse gas emissions through electrification.

Rock Rabbit emerged as the peer-selected winner and Moduly achieved a significant milestone by securing a pilot project with Burlington Electric Department (BED), find press release here.

For distribution utilities, Moduly provides a Virtual Power Plant based on Distributed Energy Resources (DER) behind the meter, enabling demand response, reducing electricity costs, and supporting the grid during peak loads.

Darren Springer, General Manager of Burlington Electric Department, highlighted the significance of Moduly's technology for the local community: "We have a really high rental population and it's not often that we get to pilot something innovative with our renters.

With EV charging, a lot of the times it's tougher, not easier if you're a renter to have an electric vehicle. It's tougher, not easier to get a heat pump, particularly if your property owner isn't so inclined to install them.

What I love about Moduly's technology is that we can literally plug it into any outlet and we can sign up a customer to be on board with helping to reduce our peak and then giving that customer some resilience during an outage." This pilot project represents a significant opportunity for Moduly to demonstrate the real-world impact of its technology in addressing energy challenges faced by renters and utilities alike. We're honored to be recognized as a standout participant in the 2024 DeltaClimeVT cohort.

Selected through a rigorous peer-review process, we have secured a pilot project with Burlington Electric Department (BED), demonstrating our potential to reshape how households manage energy. The DeltaClimeVT business accelerator, managed by the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund (VSJF), continues to play a crucial role in bringing innovative technologies and business models to Vermont.

By fostering partnerships between startups and local utilities, the program aims to accelerate the achievement of Vermont's climate and renewable energy goals while ensuring the inclusion of low-to-moderate income residents in the energy transition. Moduly's success in securing this pilot project underscores the value of programs like DeltaClimeVT in bridging the gap between innovative startups and established utilities, paving the way for a more sustainable and resilient energy future.

We're proud to contribute innovative solutions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and integrate clean energy technologies with the grid, aligning perfectly with Vermont's energy goals.
